--hello blogger!! this is my first entry. it is 8:20am, wednesday, march 19th, 2008. normally i'm still in dreamland, but i'm awake setting up a blogger account instead. oh, google. you've suckered me once again.

--so the main reason why i made you was to log all my travels and adventures. you are my diary. i'll be moving to germany come august and all that know me have been encouraging me to make a blog of my travels -pictures and such. thus your inception, mr. blogger. i promise i will take assloads of pictures and post the raddest. i'll be doing a lot of travelling since the family that i'm moving in with travels an assload.

--so maybe i should give a little intro into how i scored this whole 'germany' business. it all started when my sister wanted me to make a facebook account so that i could play scrabble with her. i searched for friends and found christina santos' profile. she was dating an old roommate of mine and we knew each other through him. her facebook said that she was in madrid, spain. we got to talking and she told me about this au pair program that she got set with and all she does is teach a couple of kids how to speak english. TEETS!! i mean, seriously, how cake does that get, right? so i threw a profile up on the site and got a lot of hits right away. that's how i got set up with germany. [wait, let me get this straight, you want me to take your kid to the bus stop for school in the morning, then when she leaves i go to a class that you pay for to learn german, then i do whatever i want all afternoon, come home and play with her for 3 hours and then i do whatever i want? wait, you want me to travel with you to your summer home on a mediteranian island in spain and also to your second home in tunisia, africa and to wherever your business takes you so that you don't have to be away from your daughter for too long?--heck yes!!] GERMANY HERE I COME!!

--so before i actually make the move to germany i plan on visiting a few good friends along the way. i'll be in nashville, tennessee to visit my good friend jamie zellers and his honey tiph. then i will be in boston to visit the girl i grew up with, susanna and her sister jane. and then new york to visit my buddy brian and soak in the new york nightlife before i take my last stand in this god-forsaken country for a year.

--honestly, i miss my mommy already. i don't know how i'll cope. i doubt i'll have a cell phone. i won't be getting paid all that much so i doubt i'd want to spend that money on a phone that i have to pay up the yin-yang for minutes, especially international long-distance minutes at that. so email, blogging, etc...my mom's just gonna have to become a faster typer. maybe i'll go to fry's electronics and ger her one of those voice-acknowledging software things so she can just say what she wants and it'll just type it all out for her...i wonder if they have ones that recognize korean...hrm...

--alright, this is getting way too long. it's been half an hour.
